News broke yesterday of the sad passing of Dessie Cullen. Dessie was a gentleman to the core and proudly kept goal for the great Kilbride team of the 60’s. Dessie claimed a Senior Football Medal on the 13th of October 1962 by helping Kilbride defeat Laragh in that famous replay to take the Club’s first Senior Football Championship title.
The Club will hold a guard of honour at Dessie’s funeral tomorrow (Noon) from the School and lead a minutes silence at our home match this Thursday at 7.30PM.

A talented bunch of players togged out in Hunterstown, County Louth last Wednesday with a Leinster Semi Final at stake but just fell short on the night. Special mention to Kilbride native Thomas Tisdall who lined out at centre half forward and scored a couple. Hopefully we can keep this group together and feed into Under 20’s and Senior ranks.
The Kilbride GAA Cúl Camp (July 15th to July 19th, 2024) is guaranteed to be a fun-filled week of activity during the summer holidays for girls and boys alike.
